School Team

  • Lyn Brimson

    Headteacher

I joined the Bratton Fleming team, as Headteacher, in September 2022. Prior to working here, I have worked at Wilcombe Primary School in Tiverton and taught across other Trust schools. When I am not in school, I can often be found at the beach or learning how to grow vegetables in my new vegetable garden!

Bratton Fleming is an inclusive and welcoming school where children come first. I am passionate about children understanding themselves as learners and creating a motivating and exciting curriculum so they can achieve their highest potential. Through the development of cross-curricular learning and supporting children’s social and emotional health, enables us, as a team, to provide a wealth of learning experiences for each child. Working in partnership with parents and sharing the responsibility of a child’s success, makes a considerable difference to a child’s future. I look forward to welcoming you to Bratton Fleming Community Primary School.

  • Hannah Day

    Teacher/SENCO

I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember! I am especially committed to Early Years teaching. I qualified as a teacher in June 2008 and was very lucky to join Bratton Fleming Primary School in October 2008. I graduated from Rolle College with a 2.1 BA(hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies with Recognised Practitioner Status and then completed a final PGCE year. During my training I specialised in Modern Foreign Languages, a subject I am very passionate about and feel every child should have access to. I am trying to incorporate some of these ideas into everyday school life at school. I love my job and am so pleased to have been given the opportunity to make a big difference in a child’s life!

  • Nicole Benham

    Teacher

Whilst growing up, I always enjoyed school and this ignited my dream of becoming a teacher. I was first introduced to Bratton Fleming when I volunteered in Mrs Day's class back in 2011. I then returned to the school as a Trainee Teacher and a Supply Teacher, before joining the team permanently in 2015. This is my eighth year at Bratton, and I now teach Year 5 and 6 in Class Torridge.

Prior to teaching I worked as a Safety Auditor for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link project based at St Pancras. I am originally from North London and enjoy running, gardening and reading.

I joined the school in September 1990, as an administrator.
