Hannah Day
Teacher/SENCO
I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember! I am especially committed to Early Years teaching. I qualified as a teacher in June 2008 and was very lucky to join Bratton Fleming Primary School in October 2008. I graduated from Rolle College with a 2.1 BA(hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies with Recognised Practitioner Status and then completed a final PGCE year. During my training I specialised in Modern Foreign Languages, a subject I am very passionate about and feel every child should have access to. I am trying to incorporate some of these ideas into everyday school life at school. I love my job and am so pleased to have been given the opportunity to make a big difference in a child’s life!

Nicole Benham
Teacher
Whilst growing up, I always enjoyed school and this ignited my dream of becoming a teacher. I was first introduced to Bratton Fleming when I volunteered in Mrs Day's class back in 2011. I then returned to the school as a Trainee Teacher and a Supply Teacher, before joining the team permanently in 2015. This is my eighth year at Bratton, and I now teach Year 5 and 6 in Class Torridge.

Antony Pryke
Teacher
I am new to Devon having recently moved to Loxhore with my wife and Aussie Shepherd dog to be closer to family. I have previously taught at a prep school in South London and an international school in Geneva, Switzerland (which is where my own children went to school) and also spent many years living and working in France. Prior to teaching I worked as a Safety Auditor for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link project based at St Pancras. I am originally from North London and enjoy running, gardening and reading.

Heather Lake
School Business Manager
I have two daughters who both attended Bratton Fleming School and a friendly cocker spaniel dog who rules the house! My hobbies include gardening and taking long walks either on the moors or beach. I have lived in North Devon all my life and I feel very privileged to live and work in such a beautiful area. I joined the school in September 1990, as an administrator. Over the years I have witnessed many changes within the school, including the major remodeling of the building in May 1992 which contributes to the wonderful learning environment we provide for your children.

I've lived in Devon all my life and always wanted to work with children. I completed my BA (Hons) Educational Studies degree in 2012. I'm a LSA, TA and help run the Breakfast & After School clubs. I would love to become a primary school teacher one day. In my spare time I love taking my dog for long walks, horse riding over Exmoor, cooking and any adventurous outdoor activities.

I grew up in Somerset however, I moved to Kent for a short while before returning to Somerset then moving down to North Devon. I love it here. I now live locally with my two dogs.
I started off here at Bratton Fleming primary school as a MTA and started doing some voluntary work as a TA. I am now a part time TA and work 1:1 with children. I work a lot in Class Bray and also Class Lyn. The children and staff here at Bratton Fleming primary school are so lovely. In my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs, cooking, swimming, gardening and relaxing watching films. I love working with children, and they teach me a lot by seeing things through their eyes and minds.

My name is Louise Irwin. I live in Braunton with my husband, our two boys and our four dogs. I am currently a TA in Class Taw. It's a job that I really enjoy, which is both challenging and rewarding. When I am not at school, you will find me walking the dogs on the beach or helping to coach an under 11 football team. If I have time after all that, I like to enjoy a thoroughly good book!

Mrs Sophie Sluman

I completed my degree in Early Childhood Studies before going on to do my PGCE; early childhood and children's development has always been a strong of interest for me. Before joining Bratton Fleming, I worked in a variety of different schools and year groups and have enjoyed developing new teaching practices. When not at school, you will find me curled up with a good book and my cat, Loki; or exploring the local beaches!
