School Team

  • Sue Denham

    Executive Head Teacher

I moved to sunny Devon in 2007 after I had a look around Bratton Fleming School, fell in love with it, applied for the headship and was lucky enough to get the job! I am very proud to be the headteacher of such a special school – we have wonderful children, an amazing staff, dedicated governors and incredibly supportive parents. Every day is different and I certainly am never bored – the part I love the most though is getting a little knock on my office door, and in walks a pupil with a big smiley face, holding a very precious piece of work to share with me. Teaching is such a rewarding job! To relax, my most favourite place to be is paddling barefoot along the beach in the sunshine with my husband, crazy dog and any one of my 5 children!

  • Hannah Day

    Teacher/SENCO

I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember! I am especially committed to Early Years teaching. I qualified as a teacher in June 2008 and was very lucky to join Bratton Fleming Primary School in October 2008. I graduated from Rolle College with a 2.1 BA(hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies with Recognised Practitioner Status and then completed a final PGCE year. During my training I specialised in Modern Foreign Languages, a subject I am very passionate about and feel every child should have access to. I am trying to incorporate some of these ideas into everyday school life at school. I love my job and am so pleased to have been given the opportunity to make a big difference in a child’s life!

I graduated from University College St Mark and St John Plymouth (Marjon) in July 2011, after completing my B.Ed in Primary Education. I initially wanted to be a primary teacher because I enjoyed being part of a child’s inquisitive approach to new experiences and their fantastically insightful questioning of areas that, as an adult, I have taken for granted.

  • Nicole Baglow

    Teacher

I always enjoyed school as I was growing up and this ignited my own dream of becoming a teacher. I joined Bratton Fleming this year and currently teach Class Lyn. I was first introduced to Bratton Fleming C.P School when I volunteered in Mrs Day's class in 2011. I then revisited the school the following year when I was completing my first teaching practice. I always loved being apart of the school. It felt like a community where the children were at the heart of it. I never wanted to leave, but I went on to finish my degree and graduate from the University of St Mark and St John in June 2014, with a 2:1 in Primary Education (B.Ed).
I am so excited to be back at the school and working with my class.
