Biographies
This term, Class Torridge have written biographies.
The pupils began by learning about the features of biographies and practised identifying these within examples.
They researched their chosen celebrity, gathering information about their childhood, journey to fame, achievements and current situation.
As a team, we worked together to produce a model text that the pupils could draw upon when drafting their own pieces.
Take a look at the some of their work below!

In the afternoon, we explored how books are transformed into film and enjoyed reading by the "fire" with a hot chocolate and marshmallows.
Look at some of our amazing costumes!
Can you recognise all the different characters?
From Doctor Who and Cruella de Vil to Wednesday Adams and Kaleb Cooper, we had such a range!
Jack came dressed as himself after writing his own book at home:
a great short story about a time traveller who joins the police force.
Enjoying a hot chocolate with mini marshmallows whilst reading!
Baking and illustrating!
